  Предназначаются для установки в узлы стрелок железной дороги для работы при температурах от -40С до +70С.   При работе допустимы кратковременные значения. Используются для защиты от обледенения стрелочных     переводов. Имеют особую конструкцию и предназначаются для обогрева только для железнодорожных стрелок.     ТЭНы устанавливаются в стрелочные мосты железнодорожных путей, сохраняя их работоспособность при низких     температурах.

   Конструкция стрелочного ТЭНа представляет собой стальной корпус плоскоовального сечения с находящимся     внутри него материалом высоко омического сопротивления. Нагревательный элемент через герметичную муфту  соединяется с электрическим питанием. С сетью соединение – тоже, через герметичную муфту для исключения попадания воды на токоведущие части.
